Ecovia (formerly TJIEC)

I have worked on the development of a mobile application called "Ecovia" as one of the main programmers. The app is designed to encourage residents and visitors in Qingdao, China to make greener choices by guiding them to public trash bin locations, local eco-tourism sites, and zero-waste shops.

The app not only provides such information to users but also encourages them to explore, review, and create their own listings to further contribute to the system. All user inputs are categorized by algorithms to generate suggested routes.

The mobile app has already been realsed on iOS and will soon be released on Android.

Gaze Estimation-based
Data Labeling System
(for patients with quadriplegia)

Motivated by witnessing the discomfort of a family member who happens to be a quadriplegic patient, I have developed an eye-tracking device to better cater to the needs of quadripletic patients experiencing difficulties physically controlling devices like keyboards, mice, and remote controls.

The main goal of the project was to help those individuals better engage in economic activities and improve their overall well-being.

I participated in the Korea Science & Engineering Fair (KSEF), where I was awarded a Bronze Award domestically and a Silver Award internationally. I have also been recently awarded at the 2025 5th HOBY Korea Youth International Relations Conference.

AI Society

As the president of the AI Society at NLCS Jeju, I have led my team to research and construct a series of AI journals specifically relating to issues that are not only applicable in real-world settings but also relevant to student communities. Topics covered so far include the proper use of large language models (LLMs) such as chatGPT, potential solutions to closing inequality gaps through the educational use of AI, and the ethics behind the use of AI, to name a few.

As the leader of the group, I am responsible for overseeing the execution of the entire publication process, and the published journals have been distributed to all local students on Jeju Island.

Robotics For Good

I was one of the finalists for the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge South Korea, which is part of the UN Global Robotics Competition. The objective of the competition is to design, build, and code a robot that can potentially be used to respond to accidents and natural disasters.

I mainly participated in this competition because its purpose—to utilize artificial intelligence to create safer environments and better handle natural disasters—closely aligns with my own philosophy of "technological advancements for the betterment of mankind".
